Born outside of Cleveland in Akron, Ohio in 1992 and raised in South Bend, IN—Jacob Titus is an artist and photographer. After earning an undergraduate degree from Indiana University, he returned home to help turn a bowling alley into a community center. It was upon this return that Jacob started making photographs as a way of documenting life and stumbling toward a sense of purpose in the post-industrial American Midwest. This penchant for observation merged with an unabashed love of buildings and an interest in what's coming next, makes up Jacob's artistic practice today.

Jacob works with entrepreneurs and public servants on design and communication projects through his studio and co-owns Vested Interest, a 139-year-old factory becoming a home for artists and entrepreneurs.

Read more of Jacob's story in the South Bend Tribune (2023) and Strong Towns (2021) and some of his thoughts on South Bend during Pete Buttigieg's presidential bid in The New York Times and L.A. Times.
